Good morning & happy Hump Day queens!
I have love on my mind – and that’s what today’s Words for Wednesday is about! Weirdly enough, it’s NOT because Valentine’s Day was yesterday but instead from a few interesting and insightful conversations I’ve had lately.
People often view solely love as a feeling they have for their significant other or their family or their friends. While this type of love is important and vital, I also think it’s important to look at love from a larger scale. We are called to love e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e. That’s right, the bus driver. Your coworkers. Your neighbors. That person from high school who annoys you like no other. The person you pass by in the park.
I get it, I get it – this is a much different type of love than what we have in our intimate relationships. But that doesn’t mean it’s something we should disregard! You can love someone {and everyone} you meet by choosing to be patient, kind, forgiving, encouraging, humble, hospitable, caring, compassionate and respectful. This is something I feel very strongly about: radiating and spreading love to every person we meet is something that just turns right back to us. And for the better!
Too often, people limit love to their close-knit relationships. Too often, people refuse to love and accept others based on age, sexuality, gender, ethnicity, job or economic status. Why is that? Today I encourage you to show love to people even when they don’t deserve it and even when they don’t expect it! Show love to people regardless of how other people are treating them – rise above that and be love to them.
Show people your love through your actions and support that with follow-up words. People often forget that our actions and words should go hand-in-hand. I’d love to hear ways YOU choose to love; for more love-filled blog posts, click here, here & here! xx
*As I was writing this, my mom randomly sent this Facebook message (below) to my sisters and I. What a perfect example of talking about – and exemplifying your love for someone else. May we all learn to view love as a fountain that never ends!
I am blessed to be each of your moms—-and all of your moms. Love isn’t measured or meted out like jelly beans—-it is more like a fountain that never ends. You are each and all precious to me. You each hold my heart so tightly—–and I love you completely.

Lovely … you are love wherever you go Miss Andi :)
