Thanks for checking out my blog! Polish My Crown is a go-to guide to encourage and inspire you to live your life to the absolute fullest by being your fabulous, magnificent self. Here’s the queen and crown polishing philosophy:
a. From a young age, I was taught to view myself as a queen. I vividly remember my aunt telling me to view myself worthy of value and respect. If I didn’t view myself that way, why should I expect other people to? Treating yourself with dignity is vital. In fact, my favorite verse reads: “She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs with no fear of the future.” And that’s what being a queen is all about – loving yourself, embracing yourself, treating yourself as a best friend. Holding yourself in high regard because you know – regardless of job, relationship, age, body size, [whatever] you are valuable and loved. You are clothed with dignity.
b. But there’s more…“Crown polishing” is a change of mindset, a new reaction to situations. Sometimes when we are feeling down, we need a little pick-me-up to remind ourselves that things will be okay. The goal of my Polish My Crown blog is to be a quick resource for inspiration, positivity and joy. My friends and I started calling ourselves “queens” jokingly a few years ago to remind each other to hold ourselves in high regard; to maintain a positive body image and self-esteem despite what’s going on around us. Ultimately, I’ve learned to laugh in most situations and learn from all situations. What I want to bring you with this blog is motivation to life an extravagantly happy and peaceful life. Through the ups and downs and highs and lows, I’ve learned that life goes on and it’s best to handle this adventure out of peace and joy, rather than fear and worry.
